LEADERSHIP & STAFF

Meet the leaders who faithfully serve and guide our church

"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith."- Hebrews 13:7

Senior Pastor

Bishop Dr. Byron Peart

Bishop Dr. Byron Peart accepted the call to ministry as a teenager and has faithfully served the Church and community in a variety of impactful roles. He has served within the Church of God (Headquartered in Cleveland, Tennessee) in several leadership capacities, including as an eight-term member of the Southern New England Regional Council and liaison to the Youth Board. He also coordinated the Calling and Ministry Studies (CAMS) Program and directed the Cohort Program for Pentecostal Theological Seminary (PTS) in Southern New England. In addition, he has served as an adjunct professor for PTS and Hartford International University for Religion and Peace (formerly Hartford Seminary), contributing to the academic and spiritual formation of emerging leaders.
Dr. Peart holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and psychology from Barrington College, a master’s degree in organizational Behavior from the University of Hartford, a master’s degree in theology and ethics, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Hartford Seminary. In recognition of his academic and ministerial contributions, he was honored as an Alumni Speaker at Hartford Seminary’s graduation ceremony in May 2018.
His pastoral leadership includes serving as Senior Pastor in Chicopee, Massachusetts, for over four years and leading Emanuel Temple of Prayer in West Hartford, Connecticut, from 2005 to 2021. He currently serves as Pastor of Voices of Praise Church of God in Lithonia, Georgia, and as Overseer of the Churches of God for the Tucker/Stone Mountain District.
Dr. Peart is a passionate worshiper, a devoted student and expositor of Scripture, and an enthusiastic teacher and mentor. He leads with integrity, wisdom, and a servant’s heart, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the spiritual growth of those entrusted to his care.
Above all, Dr. Peart deeply values his family. He is married to Reverend Georgia Peart (Young), and together they are blessed with three adult daughters. His love for his wife and children is evident in both his words and actions, as he prioritizes his family as his first ministry. Their support, unity, and shared faith serve as a strong foundation for his life and leadership.

First Lady

Reverend Georgia Young-Peart

Reverend Georgia Young-Peart gave her life to Christ in November 1987 and was baptized with the Holy Spirit in March 1988. She has remained steadfast in her commitment to the Lord and was ordained as a minister in 2014. Among her spiritual gifts, teaching stands out as both a calling and a deep personal joy.
She holds a Master’s degree in Education and is a dedicated educator who teaches the five core content areas at Centerville Elementary School. Beyond the classroom, she is a published author of Leaders Serving with Strength, a work that reflects her passion for developing strong, faith-centered leadership. Proceeds from her book support the church’s building fund, further demonstrating her heart for ministry and service.
While she serves faithfully in the field of education, Reverend Young-Peart’s greatest passion is ministry and winning souls for the Kingdom of God. She loves the Lord wholeheartedly and ministers with sincerity, compassion, and conviction.
Family is one of her greatest blessings. She has been married to Dr. Bishop Byron Peart for nearly 37 years, and together they have built a strong, Christ-centered home. She is the proud and devoted mother of three daughters — Khai, Evae, and Sarai — whom she lovingly considers her greatest earthly treasures. She is also deeply grateful for the continued presence and blessing of her 93-year-old father, Kenneth Young.
Reverend Young-Peart exemplifies grace, strength, and unwavering faith, serving both her family and her church with humility and devotion.
